Calm Parenting Podcast

Gentle Parenting Podcast

The Calm Parenting Podcast has a great host in Kirk Martin.

His motto is to ‘celebrate calm’ and he encourages parents to take a calmer and more mindful approach to raising their children.

In episodes, which are released weekly, Kirk addresses the difficulties that come with raising strong-will children, which is greatly appreciated for parents like me that definitely have one and most likely two!

He gives some great insights into the common struggles we face with discipline and finding productive things that work. As well as being practical in some of the toughest situations.

Kirk has dedicated so much time to learning himself and then sharing with others how to discipline without escalating the situation. Also how to parent in difficult situations with hard-to-reach kids or kids who need to be reached a different way due to anxiety, Asperger’s symptoms, ADHD and SPD.

Peace Out Podcast

Peace Out Podcast is a great podcast for moms who want to learn and expand on their gentle parenting method(s).

Host, Chanel Tsang is great at explaining how to stay calm when we approach stressful situations with our kids and at helping our kids do the same.

This podcast help teach our kids how to stay calm in difficult situations and to control and manage our emotions. It is so hard for kids to conduct their emotional responses in an appropriate and productive way. This podcast gives great and reasonable advice. Here they can learn how to control their temper and defuse situations while also learning new things.

I never realized how important meditation was even for my children. It is a gentle way of implementing some great life lessons and learning the difference between expressing themselves and demanding to express themselves. This podcast is recommended by the Common Sense Media website for ages four and up. I think this is a pretty accurate recommendation but also found it is useful recommendations that could also be used for two and three-year-olds.
